Fairfax, VA – WashingtonExec recognized the leaders of the government contracting industry at their inaugural Pinnacle Awards event on November 2nd held at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner.  RJ Kolton, DSA’s Senior Vice President of Business Development was the winner in the 2018 Business Development Executive of the Year category.  The finalists are recognized leaders who brought significant increased revenue and innovation to their companies from January 2017 to present day.

RJ Kolton has led DSA’s Business Development team since 2013. He has supported company revenue growth from $136M in 2017 to $180M (projected) for 2018. In support of DSA’s growth strategy, he led during CYs 17and 18 the successful pursuit and capture of several key IDIQs and BPAs, which are central to the company’s future growth. He also played a central role in the successful pursuit of several recompete and new business contracts, which contributed directly to the company achieving its annual growth targets.  RJ also has led the continuous review and development of DSA’s service offerings in order to satisfy changing customer requirements in the context of dynamic technological change and evolving threats. In addition to this DSA activity, RJ is also Vice President of Mid-Tier Advocacy Inc. (MTA), a 501(c)(3) consisting of over 2000 members and followers in government contracting across the nation. In his role, RJ meets routinely with congressional members and staff and with senior government officials in defense and federal agencies to discuss the challenges small and mid-tier companies encounter in the federal market sector and recommend changes to laws and policies to boost the ability of small and mid-tier companies to compete effectively in the dynamic federal market sector. RJ’s activities within DSA, MTA and with other professional organizations directly bolster the ability of firms supporting government requirements to improve their offerings and quality of delivery.
