February 10, 2025 – DSA is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Cordia Energy Center Minneapolis LLC to enhance their digital infrastructure and operational efficiency. DSA’s district energy digital transformation solution includes detailed engineering assessments, operator empowerment, and artificial intelligence to optimize plant operations. This approach aligns with Cordia's vision of combining performance data with supervisory artificial intelligence or machine learning (AI/ML) to achieve a comprehensive solution. This collaboration will leverage DSA's extensive expertise in Critical Infrastructure Protection, District Plant Optimization, and Cyber Operations. The work will be conducted in collaboration with HGA, a national commercial architecture, engineering, and design firm, and ensuring a comprehensive and integrated approach to the project.
In the initial phase of the project, DSA will conduct a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study, working directly with plant operators to develop improved control sequences for deployment into their control system. DSA will design and deploy asset- and system-level digital twins to continuously monitor operational performance. The combination of digital twins and AI-generated demand forecasts will enhance plant efficiency by optimizing asset dispatch. DSA’s solution also includes hydraulic modeling and "what-if" scenario analysis to meet Cordia's requirements. The project is expected to significantly enhance Cordia's ability to manage their energy distribution systems efficiently, balancing greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs while meeting customer demands.
