Biometrics
Biometric systems are ideal for adding security to a security system. Biometrics can be used as a primary authentication or a secondary type of authentication. Biometrics are what you are so there are many different types of biometrics that are in use. Some examples are finger print scanners, or vein scanners like Fujitsu's palmSecure.
Biometrics can be incorporated into a range of solutions from Access control solutions, to login authentication to systems. The Fujitsu palmSecure is being used to authenticate users at ATMs in Japan paired with smart cards for two factor authentication.
