DSA Achieves CMMI ® Level 2 Maturity Rating
DSA is recognized for Best Practices in Process Management and Software Product Development
FAIRFAX, VA, February 15, 2007 – Data Systems Analysts, Inc (DSA) is pleased to announce that it has successfully achieved a Level 2 maturity rating under the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) model.
The SEI is a federally funded research and development center, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense and operated by Carnegie Mellon University. The SEI advances process management and software development practices to ensure that organizations operate within predictable and continually improved cost, schedule, and quality parameters.
In obtaining a Level 2 Rating, DSA places itself in a select group by meeting specific goals in six crucial process areas:

- Project Planning
- Project Monitoring and Control
- Measurement and Analysis
- Process and Product Quality Assurance
- Configuration management
The CMMI model has been adopted as a standard of excellence worldwide. These ratings assist customers in selecting reliable purveyors of software products and professional services, which is crucial within governmental and technical operations that rely on business partners to support increasingly complex program goals. According to SEI research, CMMI Level 2 organizations are four times more efficient in software engineering than Level 1 organizations.
