DSA Selected to Lead Extradition Program at DHS
Office of Detention and Removal of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Awards Contract for Centralized Ticketing Program
FAIRFAX, Va., October 2005 - Data System Analysts (DSA), a provider of global information technology support to government and industry, announced that Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) had selected DSA as a subcontractor to participate in a contract award from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of Detention and Removal (ICE DRO) . DSA will supply travel coordinators and travel authorizers to provide support services for DRO’s Centralized Ticketing (CENTIX) program.
Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems sector was awarded the ICE DRO’s Centralized Ticketing Support Services Contract in April 2005.. Under the $5.9 million, 60-month contract, Northrop Grumman will provide Program Management, Business Process Reengineering, Configuration Management, WebSite development, and Centalized Ticketing services.CENTIX is responsible for supporting the escorted and non-escorted removal operations conducted by DRO field organizations.
DSA’s assignment requires managing and arranging travel requests to support escorted and non-escorted removal operations for aliens and deported visitors in the United States. DSA travel authorizors will screen removal requests, coordinate commercial travel arrangements, request and coordinate country clearances through embassies, provide alien removal notifications and coordinate approved travel authorizations through DRO field offices and customs and immigration authorities.
According to Charles E. Cooks, DSA’s vice president for intelligence and national security programs, this is DSA’s first Department of Homeland Security (DHS) support mission. “We look forward to a productive and long term relationship with DHS and its individual operating divisions,” said Cooks. “In just a few short months, the scope of our support to the DRO ICE effort has grown based on the urgent needs of the work to be done and the value we bring to the assignment.”
The Centralized Ticketing Program is being managed by DSA’s Intelligence Community and Homeland Security Business Unit located in Fairfax, Va.
