DSA Awarded NCES Program Management Support

DSA announces the award of a $2.7M task order from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) under the General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule.  This task order is for the first year of program management support to DISA’s Net Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) Program Management Office (PMO) where DSA will be responsible for assisting DISA in moving the NCES program from Milestone A to Milestone B. This will include development and of the Capabilities Development Document, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, Information Support Plan and Information Assurance Strategy Planning.  All deliverables will be in accordance with the Department of Defense ‘5000 Series’ of acquisition management.

“This is a significant award that expands DSA’s 40 year relationship with DISA” stated DSA President and CEO Frances R. Pierce. DSA understands the significance of this program to the Department and are very proud to be selected to support DISA’s highly qualified NCES team.

DISA created the Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) program to provide enterprise services in support of the Global Information Grid (GIG). NCES  will provide Department of Defense (DoD) organizations ubiquitous access  to reliable, decision-quality information through a net-based services infrastructure and applications to bridge real-time and near-real-time communities of interest (COI). NCES will empower the edge user to pull information from any available source, with minimal latency, to support the mission. Its capabilities will allow GIG users to task, post, process, use, store, manage and protect information resources on demand for warriors, policy makers and support personnel.
