DSA Updates Its Aeronautical Message Handling System
Using Microsoft® Windows® 2000

Pennsauken, N.J., June 16, 2003 – Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA), an information technology company specializing in mission-critical solutions, has completed the latest upgrade of its Aeronautical Message Handling System (A·MHS®) for civil aviation authorities.

The upgraded switching system provides an enhanced reliable, flexible, efficient and cost effective communications capability for civil aviation authorities worldwide using Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Advanced Server.

To maintain continuing service while simultaneously providing the latest in messaging services and preparing for tomorrow's developments, DSA has designed the Aeronautical Message Handling System (A·MHS®) to:

· Complete fully automatic message handling according to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards
· Allow users to exchange the kinds of information used in the day-to-day operations of the air transport industry
· Allow users in one organization to exchange information with users of other organizations, corporations, and between individuals using a variety of communications technologies
· Provide fast and inexpensive communications
· Provide a high level of security and the necessary audit trails to guard against misplaced messages
· Provide the highest availability through a combination of redundant hardware components and fault-tolerant software design taking advantage of the latest hardware and software technology.

In addition to the A·MHS® AFTN Message Switch, DSA also has upgraded its A·MHS® AFTN Terminal for Microsoft® Windows® 2000. A·MHS® AFTN Terminal offers all of the standard functions and features necessary to support Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network (AFTN) message handling. Other functions are included to meet customer needs. The AFTN Terminal is a PC-based product developed to assist the user in preparing AFTN and related messages and to ensure that the information entered in the message fields complies with the established ICAO Annex 10 rules and recommendations.

"Taking advantage of the latest software and hardware technology available, DSA is able to offer higher performance and reliability at a lower cost while maintaining continued superior customer support,” says Roger Salomon, DSA’s Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Strategic Solutions Group. “The upgrades to both our A·MHS® AFTN Message Switch and Terminal products support the mission-critical applications that demand the highest availability required by civil aviation authorities”.
