DSA Prime Contractor for Award Winning U.S. Army Knowledge Management Center.
SearchDomino.com IT Excellence Awards Announced
Pennsauken, NJ, January 24, 2003 - The winner of the SearchDomino.com Achiever Award for Knowledge Management is The United States Army Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications Tactical - or PEO C3T. PEO C3T provides a wide and integrated array of systems, products and capabilities for the warfighter. From tactical satellite communications and intelligence gathering systems to field devices, its mission is to develop, secure and support leading edge, strategic command and control communications systems. According to Kathleen Kirk, program manager at Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA), the prime contractor responsible for developing the Knowledge Management tools for the PEO C3T, "For the past five years we have played a role in helping to transform PEO C3T into a knowledge-based organization. As the prime contractor, we are in charge of the day-to-day management of the Knowledge Center, as well as initiating new developments to enhance its value. We are delighted that our client, PEO C3T, is being recognized with this award."
Using IBM/Lotus Domino technologies, the Knowledge Center serves over 15,000 users, including war fighters in the field and operational support staffs. Geographically dispersed teams support defense with real time collaboration. Key processes and information are preserved - a vital issue because more than fifty percent of the government workforce is scheduled to retire within the next five years.
Dubbed the SearchDomino.com Achiever Awards, the program recognizes medium and large-scale companies that are blazing new trails with Domino. The goal is to honor achievers at end-user companies who design, build and manage these complex technologies.
The Achiever Awards will be presented at Lotusphere in Orlando, Florida on January 28, 2003.
