DSA Chairman And CEO Selected To Represent Mid-Atlantic Members of Vistage
TREVOSE, PA., July 9, 2006 –Frances R. Pierce, Chairman, President and CEO of Data Systems Analysts, Inc., (DSA), an information technology consulting firm, has been chosen to join the first Vistage International Member Advisory Board (MAB) for the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Pierce is a 14-year member of Vistage and its predecessor organization, The Executive Committee (TEC). Vistage is the world’s largest organization of CEOs.
The purpose of the MAB is to give members a direct voice to Vistage headquarters, provide ideas and feedback on ways to optimize and sustain the value of membership in Vistage, and to enhance connectivity among members within each region.
According to Rafael Pastor, CEO and chairman of the board, Vistage International, the MAB will facilitate members working together to help shape and broaden the components of Vistage membership. Specifically, Vistage is looking for feedback on matters such as identifying opportunities for enhanced member networking and recognition, providing insight into Group Chair selection, training and performance standards, and exploring issues identified in the Vistage member surveys.
“I am honored to have been appointed to the Vistage Member Advisory Board. I look forward to working with fellow Vistage members to bring new ideas to the organization and help members everywhere derive the greatest value from the Vistage experience,” said Pierce.
With over forty years of domestic and international experience, both in the commercial and government sectors, Pierce began her information technology career with Ford Aerospace in 1963, where she spent six years working on the design and implementation of a backbone data communications network. She was later employed by the RCA Corporation in communications product development.
In 1971, Pierce joined DSA as a System Design Analyst for a large-scale data switching system. Promoted to chief engineer and overall technical manager in 1975, she became Program Manager in 1976.
Appointed Vice President and Technical Director in 1979, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the New Jersey Operation in 1985, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Washington, D.C. Operation in 1986, Pierce became President and Chief Executive Officer in 1991. She has served on the DSA Board of Directors since 1980 and became Chairman of the Board in 1991.
Pierce recently was named by Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell as one of Pennsylvania’s 2006 “50 Best Women in Business”. She also was a 1998 and 2006 finalist for E&Y “Entrepreneur of the Year in Technology”, and a finalist for the Technology Council of Maryland’s 2004 “Executive of the Year” Award .
In 2003, she was selected as a “Woman of Distinction” by the Philadelphia Business Journal and the National Association of Women Business Owners; an award based on commitment to professional excellence and community involvement.
Pierce serves on the Board of Directors of The International Eye Foundation, an organization dedicated to the promotion of peace through the prevention of blindness, and the Regional Board of Directors for TD Banknorth’s Mid-Atlantic Division (formerly Hudson United Bank).
Pierce received a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Chestnut Hill College and attended graduate school at Temple University.
