DSA Wins $44M DISA Messaging Contract
FAIRFAX, Va, August 2005 – Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA), a provider of global information technology support to government and industry, announced today that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded its National Gateway Center Software and Systems Engineering and C2 Messaging Interoperability contract to the company.
This five year contract has a potential value of over $44M. DSA will be responsible for providing the DISA Global Service Manager (GSM) with software life cycle maintenance and systems engineering support for the National Gateway Center (NGC) located at Fort Detrick, MD. Additionally, DSA will provide the engineering support required to ensure interoperability of all organizational messaging users on Defense Message System (DMS). DSA has also been tasked to support Command and Control messaging requirements between multiple messaging solutions implemented by the Services and Agencies as well as between the Department of Defense and U.S. Allies.
DSA has supported DISA’s messaging initiatives for more than 40 years, including the design and development of what is now the Defense Message System – the mission-critical communication system used by soldiers to deploy troops and orders on worldwide battlefields.
“From AUTODIN to the National Gateway Center, and the future, DSA is fully committed to supporting DISA and its C2 messaging objectives,” stated Bill Jones, DSA vice president for C4 Solutions. “DSA understands DISA’s messaging mission and is proud to be a part of this critical effort,” Jones concluded.
