Air Force Awards DSA Contract to Support Net-Centric Operations
Scott AFB, IL , August 2005 - Data Systems Analysts (DSA) today announced the expansion of its contract with the Air Force Communication Agency (AFCA).The value of this contract is approximately $1.4M.
DSA’s NCES team will assist the Air Force to move ahead rapidly to achieve its Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) goals. The company will primarily support this new contract effort from its office in O’Fallon, IL.
“DSA is combining its presence with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) NCES Program Management office with its knowledge of Air Force architecture and plans and policy to ensure that AFCA and the Air Force meet their net-centric goals while also supporting the overall DoD net-centric plans,” stated Bill Player, DSA’s Program Director for Net-Centric Solutions.
“We are proud to be a part of the AFCA effort,” said DSA Vice President Bill Jones. “DSA brings a highly skilled and motivated workforce to AFCA with long-range vision and an intimate understanding of the Air Force mission and information requirements.
“In addition to our experienced team, we will utilize our patent-pending Net-Centricity process during the delivery of this contract,” Jones continued. DSA’s process consists of five steps: Definition, Comparison, Decision, Adaptation, and Net-Centricity. “We have found that organizations that complete this five-step process are highly successful in achieving Net Centricity and in supporting overall DoD goals,” said Jones.
About NCES
DISA created the Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) program to provide enterprise services in support of the Global Information Grid (GIG). NCES will provide Department of Defense (DoD) organizations ubiquitous access to reliable, decision-quality information through a net-based services infrastructure and applications to bridge real-time and near-real-time communities of interest (COI). NCES will empower the edge user to pull information from any available source, with minimal latency, to support the mission. Its capabilities will allow GIG users to task, post, process, use, store, manage and protect information resources on demand for warriors, policy makers and support personnel.
