DSA’s VP Named to The Federal 100
Fairfax, Va, April 1, 2005 –Data Systems Analysts (DSA) Senior Vice President, Doug Wagoner, has been selected a Federal 100. The award is given to the top executives from government, industry and academia who had the greatest impact on the government information systems community in 2004. Winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges.
Wagoner was selected for his leadership and results while chairing an industry taskforce on behalf of the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA). “As chairman, Doug Wagoner persuaded lawmakers to change the federal government’s security clearance policies, which the IT industry successfully argued were antiquated and created unnecessary costs and delays,” reads the citation printed in the March 21,2005 issue of Federal Computer Week magazine.
President Bush signed The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act in December 2004. The legislation contained many of the security clearance changes Wagoner and his committee had recommended.
“Doug showed extraordinary leadership and dedication to finding a way to resolve the security clearance backlog,” said Olga Grkavac, executive vice president of the Enterprise Solutions Division at ITAA.
Wagoner recently was promoted to Senior Vice President at DSA responsible for the company’s Washington D.C operation, including strategic planning, marketing, business development and contract fulfillment. Under his leadership, the DC Operation has experienced significant revenue growth and customer base expansion. Wagoner joined DSA in 2001.
Wagoner has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Virginia Tech.
The Federal 100 awardees were feted at a black-tie gala March 23, 2005 at the RitzCarlton in McLean, Va.
